Remanufactured 6.2L/383 Vortec Marine Base Engine (replaces years 1997-present)

This is a completely remanufactured 6.2L/383 c.i. Vortec marine base engine. This engine will replace those 6.2L marine engines used in Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, Crusader, Indmar, Marine Power, and other applications between the years 1997-present. This will directly replace those 5.0L, 5.7L carbureted Vortec marine engines with no modifications needed! If you have fuel injection, give us a call at 888-364-4537 and we can tell you how to repower your 5.0L or 5.7L with this 6.2L!

Our Remanufactured engines are totally remanufactured to the original blueprints and exact OEM specifications, and are tested to original equipment standards. Note that ALL of our remanufactured marine engines are bored, decked, and blueprinted on a CNC machine making these units some of the best in the industry. Our Remanufactured Engines

With our 40 years in the engine business we have learned over years what parts and processes work the most effectively to produce a quality unit. With that information we have a Premiere Multi-Step Method that we use to remanufacture our engines.

Only the Best Blocks:

  • We start by selecting only the "healthiest" blocks. No cracks, no rust, no signs of abuse, no signs of salt water use.
  • We completely disassemble the blocks and vigorously clean them along with the cylinder heads and crankshafts. We use a thermal cleaning process which includes baking them in an oven to remove core material and running them through a stainless steel shot machine to clean them to machinable metal.
